About Us

Old2New is a community development project being run by the Southampton Solent branch of the international non-profit organisation Enactus.

What do we do?

That's a good question!

Here at Old2New we focus on teaching members of the community tailoring skills working in conjunction with Re:So and Southampton Solent Fashion Students.

Once the members of the community have established the required skills, they will then take garments donated by members of the public and put their new found skills to work to transform those garments from Old-2-New, once the garments have been transformed, they will then be sold, right here on the website, and 100% of the profits made from sales will put back into the project in order to keep the project running!

How do we benefit the community?

By teaching members of the community clothing craft and tailoring skills, which are not only skills that can benefit them in everyday life, but are also employability skills!

With the fashion industry currently making up £46billion of the UK economy* and the British fashion industry being one of the UK's fastest growing industries growing year upon year, now is a fantastic time to be capitalising and learning skills beneficial to the industry, as this increases your employability within the industry!
